I'm looking at a CS9 that's DAO but has a safety lever. Is this a conversion or factory origional? Can it be converted to traditional DA or decocker only?

I'm going to go out on a limb and raise the likelihood that you are looking at this particular gun:

Smith & Wesson Chiefs Special, Blue CS9 : Semi-auto at GunBroker.com

I saw it and immediately noticed the error in the item description. That gun is a normal Chiefs Special 9mm with traditional double action (i.e., DA/SA). If it had been converted to DAO there would not be the decocker lever. Still, that's a good looking pistol! If I didn't have two already I'd think about it. Good luck!

Hi.I have a CS9 that I bought NIB and had converted to DAO because I am a long time revolver shooter. The DAO doesn't have a decocker so I haven't a clue what you are looking at.I would guess that you are looking @ a regular CS9 that is a DA/SA configuration with the lever acting as the decocker and safety....God Bless.....Mike

MgoBlue, sure let the cat out of the bag. Now everyone will bid on it but yes that's the gun. Thry don't show up for sale often.

Uhmmm, sorry JJ! lol!

It's just one of the searches I have saved on GB to periodically check on the CS line.
