Looking for modified delren grips for both of either CS9 and CS40. Didn't know if anyone picked up the mantel after Big Dog and TercGen stopped making them. Figured I'd ask before butchering them trying to make them myself.

Thanks folks,
Bob

A set of 4513 grips was sacrificed before I got the fitment right. Measuring where to drill the grip pin hole exactly was my trouble. Worked out though! I never understood why Smith would put such wide grips on a gun that was made to be more compact.

I get that. I blew through two NOS donor grip backsides and decided I better stop. I was using my Foredom, (not my Dremel,) and pre-rail 3913TSW grips and just couldn’t continue destroying a non renewable resource. This was post Big Dog, pre TercGen and before I found out they were using 3913 grips which are somewhat less endangered.

I can and do appreciate those that do it themselves. That said TercGen had it dialed in and eclipsed what Big Dog did. I really like my TercGen CS9 & 40/45 grips and the original factory blubbers can always go back on.

I haven’t heard of any recent source for these grip conversions but have “suggested “ to guzzitaco he should think about it. (In his spare time of course.) Come on R.

I think the slim TercGen grips are a plus and a compliment for guzzi’s reimagined Chief Specials.

You guys are giving me hope on attempting it myself. I've thought about buying some of the Turkish single piece wood grip to use as a template for cutting down and drilling the hole on the 3913 grips

Good call
You don't want the grip huggers coming after ya... :D

Back in the Good Ole Days,
Back in days of Yore,
Once upon a time,
Long ago in a galaxy far away,

...the first thing you did to a new S&W pistol was to put rubber grips on it. Sometimes fancy wood ones. In the ancient times it was Pachmayr and then later Hogue.

Ahhh, but then the children forgot the wisdom of the ages. S&W started selling the guns with rubber grips ALREADY on them?!

Making me wish I would have ordered the Tercens way back. Don't hate the Hogue's but pistol should feel more narrow in the grip I would think with the former. Plus they look nicer!

TercGen said he did not do these so I guess it's possible to come close to his work.....

That's how this CS-9 came to me.

Tercgen Grips

I have Tercgen grips that I had him make for me several years ago, never used them, thinking I will not be carrying the CS9 again, so maybe time to part with the grips so someone else can enjoy them.
