CS9

I recently came into another CS9 after

foolishly letting my first one go. The pics don’t do it justice, I stripped it down and gave it a deep cleaning, the older gentleman I got it from said he was original owner and probably less than 100 rounds through it and I believe it. It had dried grease etc on it and was a bear to get all of that crud off and out of cracks and crevices. The pics are before cleaning, looks like new after. I found a set of delrin grips from a 3913 and am going to attempt to cut them down and fit to the CS9. The Hogues are ok but would like to try it with the delrin. It shoots like a dream as is. After shooting it and verifying function it has become my new daily carry. I may try and delete the ambi side safety if I can find parts. I forgot how much I enjoy carrying and shooting 3rd Gen smiths.

Mine looked exactly like yours when I got it. It now has a low profile single-sided safety body, a low profile slide stop, Trijicon night sights and a TercGen 3906 grip.

Numrich has the 669 low profile single-sided safety body in stock.
Numrich also has the 3913 low profile slide stop in stock.

I'll repeat only to say that unless you desire a silver colored single side safety you can find them on Ebay.

The same safety fits the 39xx, 908, 915, 910, 909, guns.

Plus as jsbethel says 2nd Gen safeties will fit.

Be patient and you'll probably find an entire slide pretty cheap.

Congrats on your CS9 find!

My CS9 is in my rotation carry line-up too.

I liked the looks of the Delrin grips on mine too but when AIWB carrying I felt the more angular heal was more subject to printing so I bought a new pair of Hogues & contoured their back then rounded the heal for carry.

I added Trijicon sights to mine & converted a couple mags with Kahr base plates, which I really like.

Mine had the single-sided safety from the factory.
