I know it's late and I shouldn't post at this hour, but I've been thinking about a CSX and for the life of me can't figure out where it fits in to the guns I need.

I've got a 3914LS and it's nigh on perfect for carry...and the specs are almost equal to the CSX. The 3914 is a bit longer overall (6.8 vs 6.4) and has a longer barrel (3.5 vs 3.1) but it's thinner (1.06 vs 1.12) and DA/SA, not just SA (which even with a grip safety I don't like to carry). And yes the CSX carries either 2 or 4 more rounds, but that isn't a big deal in my view.

So I'm going to pass on the CSX (and if I need more rounds I can take along my 6906.

Now if Smith made a plastic 3914, say using the same mag technology as in the CSX, but all the rest of the gun like the Lady Smith, well, I'd be over that like a cold sweat -- thin, DA/SA, about the same size, safety -- what's not to like?

If the csx were da/sa, I would already have one, and sort out the magazine issue on my own.

Me too.....
I moved away from concealed carrying single action autos in the late 80s in favor of DA/SA guns. First a Sig 220 replacing my 1911s. The introduction of the 3rd gen 3913s and 6906s sealed the deal for me. 34 years for me with the Sigs and 32 with the S&Ws

Squidsix good call on that 3913..... had me tempted. Like I need another 39xx gun!!!!! :)
