Has anybody tried the CSX and what are your thoughts on this new critter, been contemplating on a new purchase but there's not a lot of communication out there.

I have about 500 rounds through mine. Range and PP ammo. Flawless.
Drifted my rear sight a little. Accuracy is fine.
"Crunchy trigger, manageable" is a pretty good description.
12 + 1 and just the slightest bit larger than a P938. You can use a P938 Holster.
I use a loader for the 12 round mag.
I think it is a darn nice, small, dependable pistol
With an exceptional capacity for pistol of its size.
It is a great, small CC Pistol.

I agree with both huthike and Furrball above. Really like mine but I am an old 1911 guy so everything is good. The trigger gets some getting used to but it is coming around. Pretty much carry it all the time now.

I had one, sold it. Liked everthing about it EXCEPT the ambi safety. That right side safety lever would pinch my hand every time it was moved to the firing position and I had a good firm firing grip on the gun. Was told bu S&W that it could not be converted to a single side safety, Sooooo it has a new home.

OK if you like Single Action Only - prefer TDA or DAO of 3rd gen pistols. Dont like carrying with hammer cocked and safety on but thats a personal preference.

12 rd capacity better than CS9, but I still prefer the CS9. Some problems with early magazines but I think that has been resolved and if you have a mag problem, SW will replace mags.

Probably going to sell my CSX at some point now that I have a CS9.

Really like mine...cured "crunchy" trigger with light stoning of the hammer hooks...no need to reduce engagement..just smooth rough surface..sear was fine as is! Not a target gun but entirely adequate inside the 21' defacto limit for self protection. Conceals easily...very small gun for a 12 +1 capacity.

I do not own but held both the CSX and sig 938 many times...I almost bought the Sig 938 which also had the .22 conversion in the box...read reviews saw videos that 938 not great and .22 conversion not the best either. Then I held the csx...much better solid feeling, not as junky feeling as the 938...

CSX is a nice but imperfect concealable handgun, from what I see at gun shops there are used ones available. We have discussed why numerous times. The CSX is good for what it is designed to do - self defense, but the CSX is probably not the only handgun you want to own if you can only have one.

I disagree, but that's just me. I only have and need one handgun and it is indeed a CSX.

Thank you all for the reply's, seems just about all like it for size and all agree trigger needs addressed.

I think a another one is going in rotation this weekend with all the specials at the LGS's around my area.

Thanks again !

I’m really hoping that Santa Claus brings me one this year. I’ve been wanting one since I first saw them, but have tried to be responsible and not buy yet another handgun. Still, the temptation is very high for me on this one, and I figure I will probably take the plunge before too much longer. Just seems like a neat little pistol to me.

Guess they are a good idea for the 1911 style fans and the compact size fits right in with the micro-9s so popular today.

I finally adapted to mine. For some reason I had a tough transition from the revolvers to the CSX. But after a couple hundred rounds I was able to get the hang of the little guy. Function was great no issues. However the trigger could use some work.

I thought that it was a bit odd that they would introduce a SAO pistol to the compact self defense pistol market.

If they were going to the expense of designing a metal framed SD pistol that wasn't striker fired, DA/SA would seem to make more sense. At least to me.

I'm with ACEd...won't carry a SAO (without a grip safety) and 10,000% prefer my 3rd gen S&Ws in 9 & 45 or a SW99compact in .40. I personally don't need anything smaller than a CS9 or 45 or a a 3914 or 6906. And if I need something pocketable, then a 642 is just fine. (I mean how much smaller than a CS9 have to be? (And if it need really, really small, well, a 38/22 Terrier with Buffalo Bore is something I feel comfortable with. As I've said before....too many (good) choices out there and ya carry what you're comfortable with.)
