I bought these grips when they were being sold in the classifieds here some years back. While most gravitate to the real vibrant more visible wood grains I wanted cocobola. all the grain is still there but you have to look real close.
I got this gun new after reading the Skelton Shooting Times article about their reintroduction in 1983. I was just looking at that article again today. Box and papers stashed away.

Very nice, beautiful grips. I have two of those, one wears custom grips by Zane Thompson of LSCG grips; the other is currently wearing a set of S&W diamond targets. Love these guns, they're not cheap themselves, but I guess you could say they're a "poor man's " 4" 1950 Target.
