I think the 3rd gen S&W 3913 and 3914 are great, with the TSW versions being the best, the perfect semi-auto. The beefier and what appears to be tighter fit on the slide rails seem to provide a higher level of accuracy on the TSW variants, and the single stack provides for good ergonomics and comfortable range sessions.

I transitioned away from them to some of the so popular plastic frame semi-autos, but have found my way back.

There was a thread here with a picture of a 3914TSW with a 2012 production date. It would be great if they put those back into production, but I very much doubt they will.

There seem to be a few ANIB 3953TSWs coming up for sale lately. The speculation is that S&W is cleaning out their vaults as the few departments that were still using them transition to newer vuns. Just speculation of course.
