Current production Classics blueing and grip quality?

I am a carpenter by trade (40 years),maybe the grips on a couple of the other classic models might be composite but the grips on my model 27-9 are wood.

I have a 6.5" 24 in nickel. The finish is perfect. I LIKE nickel Smiths. The altamont grips suck so they were ditched immediately and replaced with Eagle's heritage coke style target grips.

Those grips are ridiculously hot!!! I mean it. If I get her this pistol she'll have to wear it with lingere to bed. Thinking of a nicely detailed black garter holster!!!
