Current SitRep?

I'm a reloader and don't buy much factory ammo. As such I haven't been keeping that close of an eye on current avalibility. But I have friends who keep asking.
So would someone be kind enough to give me a general overview of how things stand? Especially with .22LR.

The LGS I normally go to here in Oklahoma City had a much better supply of 22 LR today than they have had in a few months. Currently a 1 box limit on 22 LR and a 2 box limit on 22 WMR. Still, far better than the normal "No 22 in stock."

The current 22 LR ammo situation is still not good. Online it sells out within minutes, even at extremely high prices. Take a look at Gun Broker at the prices some people are paying, it's insane really. Hard to find locally at stores as well, with limits on how many you can buy, if you do find some.

Here in the Northeast of PA there is almost no 22LR ammo available. None of the local stores have any and once in a great while Walmart has a little. Last week one of the Walmart stores in my area had 10X 225 round Remington 22LR ammo for $9.97 a box. IMO that is on the high side but that's what they were charging. I didn't buy any but they were gone within 10 to 12 minutes. (limit of 3 per day) Last month they got in 2X 1000 round boxes of Winchester M-22 ammo. Funny thing is, they would have sold you 3 of those if they had 3 to sell. That makes no sense to me. They will sell you 3X 1000 round boxes (3000 rounds) but limit you to 3 boxes of the 225 round boxes. (675 rounds)

Just wait until you get there and they only sell you 3 50 ct. Lightning 22LR boxes.
