It's the annual updating of my collection time again (I keep current values in the boxes in case a truck runs over me on my bicycle some day...) and I cannot find a current price for an absolutely NIB model 58 in nickle with papers, cleaning kit and vapor wrap. Would $1200 be too far off?
Thanks,
Mike

Interestingly enough, they just had that identical gun at Greentops in Richmond, VA, a vintage NIB nickle M58, priced at $1300, and it sold within a couple days. I was there on a Wednesday and they had it, on the following Monday it was gone. I'd say your estimate is right on target.

Edited for spelling.

If I stumbled across a NIB 58 on consignment near me in CA I would buy it at 1200 in a heartbeat. Those are not on the CA DOJ-certified list and cannot be received or sold by local 01 FFL holders. But they can be legally sold in private party transfers or consignment transfers (which count as PPTs).

58 NIB

My humble opinion is 1200. is "quick sale value" for such a desirable piece. DS

I posted my ANIB nickel 58(slight storage blemish on cyln.from contact with box lid) 1977 vintage, correct box, tools, vaper wrap, papers at $950 shipped last spring/summer? with no interest. If it indeed has gone up to the $1000-1300 range, perhaps another go in this forum's classifieds is in order.

Sounds a little high to me, but if it was in front of me and I had $1200 I would probally own it. Guns in that condition are far and few between especially a 58.

Depends on what part of the country but I would put $1,500.00 and certainly not take less than $1,200.00. I just sold a blue 58 no box with about 90 to 95% condition for 800.00 and the guy was glad to get it. The good ones always maintain their value.
