Hello,

I am wondering if anyone makes, or can make a set of grips for the 642 in the style of the Model 40/42 High Horn grips? Any help would be appreciated.

108 views and no responses.....guess there's no one making these.....I have a used set off a model 42 on an early 642, fit is not the best, but really like them over the rubber boot grip or a standard set of J frame grips.....

Are the Altamont classic panels no good to you? I personally love my fake ivories

They look really nice....if the grip came up a bit higher to the top of the backstrap, they'd be what I'm looking for.....

I believe Craig Spegel will make High Horn grips for the Centennial J-Frames. With all the Centennial type J-Frames in circulation, I'm surprised nobody makes the high horn grips as a regular production item. Maybe most owners now days don't even know there was such a thing?

I found a Jay Scott pair on Ebay not custom but feel great I did not like carrying it with its original wood grips

I missed this thread 18 months ago.

Here are Craig Spegel's extended boot grips on a 940 and Karl Nill Centennial grips on a 640 Pro.

Both are fabulous.
