CXS for 2023

Yes… it was to aid the rider in reholstering after firing, while riding.

Does anybody know how many CSX pistols S&W has sold?

I have seen MANY videos and clear there is a false reset issue on the trigger.

The csx is one of the top contenders for consideration for my wife. But I do not like the scales reset issue at all.

I have no doubt that after market will fix it. Or Smith will itself. However either will only do it if they have sold enough to keep the gun in production or for aftermarket that there are enough in the field to R&D and produce a fix.

Seems like a great balance of size capacity weight and ease of racking.

How did Smith send this out the door with this issue. Knowing the market customers and. Reviewers would find this and eat them alive. Which is what I think is exactly what is happening

Very disappointing!

The false reset issue has been solved for months.
I purchased mine, new, in August. It had the new firing pin stop.

I have the black firing pin stop. How do I get the new version? Will S&W sell/send one if you contact them? I am content with mine the way it is but am asking in case I change my mind.

Sorry. Read the thread a long time prior to my discovery of the false reset issue. Then came back and posted my comment.

Super glad this is no longer an issue!!!! And now I know to look for this white plastic piece!

I suspect a number folks bailed early on the CSX based upon YouTube guru reviews. That's unfortunate because S&W made some changes to address stated concerns and the result is an incredibly small but capable platform. If you carry AIWB, the safety on the CSX adds another measure of security that can be flicked off in a nano second on your draw. What's not to like?
