Hi there folks!I ran into the problem of the cylindrical burn marks on my cylinders of my model 66-8 and my 2 model 69s.i was watching a YouTube video and a gentleman stated smith would send you longer screws for the front top strap hole near the barrel.worked perfect on my 69 with 4.25 barrel, but I have a slightly protrusion past flush on my 66-8.it is not hitting the cylinder but I was wondering about the required clearance between the cylinder and that screw before it would cause a problem or should I just file it to fit flush and touch up with blue?oddly enough the 66-8 screw was a perfect fit in the model 2.75 barrel 69.the replacement screw actually touched the cylinder when I tried it.thanks for the help!
