CZ 75 Compact

For the record, when enemies call for a day of rage it gets my attention. This is what I carried last Saturday:

That CZ is an excellent shooter!!!

I admit that I do lower that hammer on a loaded chamber in the most gentle manner possible. Fortunately, I learned how to do that a looooong time ago!!!

I was late to the game with CZ pistols, but I bought these two that had already been modified by CGW. The 75BD Police is an amazing gun, but the 97BD is on a whole different level. It has what CGW called their "E" conversion plus the 1911 bushing. Two nice guns that were greatly improved with mods.

I was advised that they cannot modify my CZ model. :(

I'm surprised to hear that.

Is that because it's pre-B? (No firing pin block)
Did they tell you it can't be done or that they wouldn't do it?

They list some parts for the pre-B, not specifically for the compact but I don't think it matters. Even if you can't get a full kit that includes a new hammer it would probably still be improved by the reach reduction/short reset kit, combat trigger, and lighter mainspring with extended firing pin.

I have a Rami and I love it. It is compact, reliable and accurate and durable.

I almost bought one 15 years ago. It was all good . . . except the DA trigger pull felt like it was 3 inches.

Is the trigger good in single action?

They are cheap G-10 grips from Coolhand grips for CZ 75 Compacts. I did have to do a little file work on the backside of the Shadow 2 grips to get the screw holes to line up. No biggie....

Love the 75 design. I'm luck to have a Shadow 2 SA and Tanfo 10mm. Surprisingly the Tanfo is the better shooter and the Shadow is no slouch.

They didn't say why, just that they could not modify it.

Could be. I'll think on it but it's unlikely, I generally don't tinker with my guns, I'm kind of a Luddite that way. I've done it but rarely.
