Here's one I just picked up. Never saw one before and don't think many made it over here. Simpson's had a few they imported.
Well made economy minded target pistol made by CZ. Single shot with manual cocking done with the square/serrated knob in back.
Actually very accurate.

It looks to be in nice shape and an early model. The one I had, the back rotated and pulled back to load and cock it. Then you set the set trigger, very light pull. Mine was an entry level free pistol and was quite accurate. Fun to shoot, great for basic open sight alignment practice. Made by BRNO. Need a range report. Can you set the trigger??

Sold it and went to a Hammerli 100 free pistol. Shoot it regularly on Tuesday mornings at the retired guys shoot. Larry

Mine does not have the set trigger, more of an entry level gun I believe. I was getting good groups yesterday just messing around but may need to drift the front sight slightly.

There used to be several models in the Drulov line. I knew a dealer in Ontario that sold a ton of them. They came in these triangular cardboard boxes with graphics that screamed Cold War/Iron Curtain!
I remember the top of the line model sold in the early 80s for $300. One unique characteristic was a sort of folding trigger. It hinged at the bottom and swung up to depress the a sear release button.
Attached is a schematic for your gun, the CZp-2.
Also, I got a hilarious promotional picture from an old catalog.

Jim

I was at the counter eating 'Dave's Collectable Halloween Candy' when, Bob Simpson, saundered onto the scene from the back room holding an exact copy of yours. He asked me what I thought it was worth. I told him I'd give him all the money in my wallet, but that didn't work.

I think the first one went in the $120+ range. Then they went up quite a bit from there. These are well made little jewels. Nothing fancy, but they're a durable looking entry level target pistol. I should've bought the whole case. They sold like hotcakes.

The Europeans are exporting firearms by the boatloads due to the gun restrictions & taxation, have been for quite some time. Bob comes back regularly, with some pretty interesting offerings. Simpson's web pages are like a 1957 Sears toy catalog to me.

You hooked a fun one. Congrats!

That ad is HILARIOUS! Looks like Sonny Bono and Barbra Streisand having drinks and shooting the ol' single shot cz, like you do...

But the gun is wicked cool, got to get one to go in my Little Czech collection, which includes ZKG 465, ZKK 600 (7X57), MODEL 22F(7X57), MODEL 3 AND 452, and RAMI. I think the CZECH firearms are hard to beat.
