I was not sure where to post this but I was looking at a CZ PO1 the other day in a gun shop and I was wondering are they any good??

It looks well made but I don't see them around much?

CZ pistols are well made. I considered buying the P01 and the PCR. They both fit my hand well. I ended up with a PCR, but it is very similar in most regards to the P01.

I like the curved backstraps on the CZs --- they remind me of my 39-2 (there, i've added S&W content to this thread), even though the CZs are double stack.

For me, I shoot my S&Ws slightly more accurately. Not sure why, and I'm sure that would vary from individual to individual. But overall, I really like my CZ and am glad I have it.

There are a number of web forums devoted to CZ, and there are numerous threads about them on theHighRoad and theFiringLine.

PO-1 is a superb pistol, I have Smiths, Colts, Sigs. CZ is a well made pistol, NATO approved gun, and that's not easy. I have one. Bill

Outstanding pistols. Reliable, accurate and very comfy in hand.

Often have gritty triggers out of the box that break in very nicely after a few hundred rounds.

The Czechs make very solid weapons. I'm a fan.

I also have one very well made pistol, one of my favorite's to take to the range. I don't think you could go wrong in picking up one.

I do not know about the P01, but the CZ75 is fantastic, and as a double bonus, you can get spare mags from MecGar.
