Ran across a Daisy .22 Bolt Action Rifle today. Had a removable clip magazine very similar to a Ruger 10/22. This one had a wood stock and polymer type barrel that appeared to have a steel sleeve. A magnet would stick to Barrel but obviously was plastic or polymer of some sort and was octagon. Had a front sight, no rear and was mounted with a cheap scope like you would find on a BB gun. Anyone here familiar with these? Rare? Any value?

I've seen a few. Never owned or fired one though. I remember when they were advertised in the big three outdoor magazines of my youth (Field & Stream, Outdoor Life, and Sports Afield). The ones I saw had plastic stocks I've seen both a single shot, and a magazine fed model.

I can't remember what they were selling for but if I remember correctly, it wasn't much.

A friend bought the similar semiautomatic Daisy .22
for his kids to shoot. It was fun the one time I fired it.

There are a couple of the bolt guns on an internet gun
sale sight now. If they were a bit cheaper I might think
about buying one.

I bought one "bolt/magazine" for my daughter when she was twelve years old. It was a trim and light little thing that fit her just right and she still has it. She won a trophy with it by beating a bunch of boys with it at a youth field day match, she still has the trophy too. It was my grandsons first rifle as well. It always worked well and was accurate enough. Cannot remember what I paid for it new but I think around fifty bucks. No idea of value now.

The daisy .22 rifle that you saw was made approx. 1988-91. They came in bolt action single shot and bolt action 10 shot magazine. There was also a semi-auto model. The semi-auto had problems with parts breaking and going full auto. The factory used to repair them but parts are long gone. I would stay away from the semi-auto.
The rifles came in black and brown plastic stock with adjustable butt stock. There was also a spanner wrench to remove the barrel.
The Model numbers were.
2201 - Single shot bolt action, plastic stock.
2202 - 10 shot mag., bolt action, plastic stock.
2203 - 7 shot mag., semi-auto, plastic stock.
Model numbers were on the receiver and when the rifle came with wood stock the Model number changed on the box label but not the receiver.
2211- single shot bolt, wood stock
2212- 10 shot mag., wood stock
2213 - 7 shot semi-auto, wood stock.
I have a few of the 10 shot bolt guns, some in the box. The one that I shoot has been accurate and light to carry, but be careful of the plastic
parts. I don't see them much anymore but $100.00- $150.00 should get one. The two hardest parts to find are the magazines and the rear sight.
