He is a trip everyday, two year old teenager, high energy,
have to run him hard everyday, instinctive herder.
You never know despite all your anticipation what
he is going to get into next.
Crazy smart, and he knows exactly what he's
being told to do, verbal and by hand.
Whether he does it or not, depends on his moment,
Alpha male, all day.
I'm savvy communication is a door that swings
both ways, and I've learned his varied vocal
and physical ways he communicates of what he wants.
Me and my other half are more trained than he is
We're not hard headed teenagers.
Got most of the chewing damage he did to the house
as an infant repaired, short of some drywall replacement.
He's a Rough Collie, not commonly seen anymore.
Few breeders, had to pick him out of the litter at one week.
My other half had dogged me about getting a puppy
for years, blew her off, telling her it's not fair to the pup
while we're working......when we retire.
Well, we retired, and she said.....you said.
I always do, what I say I'll do,
So said OK, but I pick the breed,
this Rough Collie isn't my first one
Damage and demanding, MacTavish is loved to death.
Brings untold joy and activity to our lives in retirement.
He's a show stopper,
Photo's are from one week to his this year trip
to see Santa.
