Darn Little People

Probebly Heineken, Amstel, Grols or an other brand. But I dont like Dutch cafe's or pubs. English pubs are much more an thing of the locals and are very nice to visit. I rather prefer to drink an Belgian Palmbier at home.

There is nothing quite like a draught of Guiness in a proper 20oz glass sitting at the back corner of the bar enjoying the tobacco of your choice-preferably a good briar filled with your favorite blend.
unfortunately it's hard to find a bar with Guiness on tap AND proper glasses AND someone who knows how to pour it. Harder still to find all of this in a bar that permits smoking. :(

Cheers Thuer,I've been to Amsterdam and saw the Heineken brewery.Too cool.
I don't care for Heineken so much though.
Amsterdam was a interesting place and the locals were nice.:)
As you know Amsterdam has some reputations. Most people don't see that. Most from America are there for the bad part.

Amsterdam is not representative for the Netherlands. But in their whisdom the Citycounsel of Amsterdam has decide to eliminate the red light district for a very big part. With this decision they kill a part of the tourist income. But Hee this is Holland. We all be saints overhere.

Cajunlawer. The last time I have had a very good glass of Guiness was on a gunshow at Bisley. I was enjoy the Guiness and sitting on a long table with all kinds of British people I have never met before. I can tell you. It was big fun and have had a lot of good laughs and nice guntalk.

Funny you mention the British pubs. The first stop was one and it was the best of many we visited.
Even in Nurnberg Germany our favorite pub was British.
I like the German Pils. but that wheat stuff they can keep.

Back in the 70s I knew a midget. He worked where I was a guard. He was perfectly formed and a handsome devil. He was wild and would do wheelies and burn outs with a hot bike in the company parking lots. I had to come down on him for it when I first met him. At the time I would guess he was 24 years old but looked like a small 14 year old! Later he moved in with a girl friend and her kids about two houses down the street from me. He looked like he was one of her kids! He no sooner moved in with her a big neighborhood bully type kid informed him he had to fight him as all the kids in the area had to fight him! My little friend gave him the beating of his life. After that he came over on a rare cold rainy day when I was off work and wanted to go to a bar and play pool.
We went to a bar, he pulled out a big cigar and lit it, climbed a stool alongside me and ordered a drink. The bartender turned to me and said "Whatcha think yer doing? Ya cant bring yer kid in here! My little buddy whipped out his ID and the bar keep looked at it and just walked off in disbelief shakeing his head! It really was comical! Unfortunately, not long after that he got killed in a bad cycle crash.
