Ernie, a friend of mine is a pastor and has a son who is now in federal prison (thank goodness; instead of a state or local facility) for a drug conviction. One of those hanging-out-with-the-wrong-kind situations, though he is guilty as charged and readily admits it.
My friend was devastated by this, but at the same time, realizes that good can come from it. I hope your daughter will benefit as well, and come out the better for it. It's a tough lesson to learn, but at such a young age, she's got a lot of life ahead of her, and this could be something that she'll look back on one day, and be thankful for.
Drugs are a scourge and an evil that have caught too many in their grip. I hope your daughter will be free of this from now on, with whatever support she needs from family, friends, and the groups that support those who've dealt with this. Godspeed to both of you.
