Dawson Sights

Anyone install on their M&P Pro (5in.) The
Dawson Adjustable Rear Sight 034-004 and the .265 front sight 021-058
I am looking for a sight picture where the front sight sets in the notch of the rear sight and the POA is the POI .
Cant get used to the front sight setting on top of the rear to hit something .

I have Dawson sights on my M&P Pro 9mm 5 inch barrel. They advised .305 height sight and that is what I got. It was too high and they sent a .285 hight sight, .100 inch wide FO, no charge. This works. I sight with actual top of the sight, not the FO, using classic sight alignment. POA is POI. I shoot 147 g TC, and 125 FMJ. I am not certain I have any more down on the rear sight for 115 grain bullets. Some adjustment is visible. This may not be a help.

update

Dawson suggested the .265 front FO and .265 Adj Rear.
Had them installed and now I have the adjustability
of a factory sight picture or the bulls eye one that I am used to.
I no longer shoot 6 inches low as I did with the factory sights
when I by second nature I burried the front sight in the rear sight groove.
Dawson people are great.

the gun smith, & sight picture research - and thats where I had to hold the factory sights so not to shoot 6 inches low .

What barrel length do you have, buserpcr? I have a 5 inch PRO. I should say Pros. I have a 40 that still has factory sights.

I really like my Dawson sights on the 9mm. That is the firearm I use most for USPSA. Like you, I was 6 inches low at 15 yards. I did sight picture research and did not come up with your solution of setting the FO on top of the rear sight. Did I get this right.

I will try it with the 40. But, I think I am only 1 to 2 inches low with the 40 and 165 grain bullets. I have ordered 180 gr lead TC hoping it will cure all my woes. If not, I will order another Dawson set.

For the factories it was on top of the rear. with the new dawson I can adjust to the sight picture I want. or go to a heavier bullet as suggested by some.
