The 50th would have been too early for me, but I had my license by the 100th.
I checked, though. Dec. 17 was a Wednesday in 2003, and I still had to work a full-time job at the time, so I probably couldn’t have made it up anyways even if I had known ...

Today is the anniversary of the Wright Brothers 1st flight.
I made the 50th
I made the 100th
I suspect I'll miss the 150th.
Is that the Ercoupe you were flying?

And they flew it on a desolate stretch of North Carolina beach called Kill Devil Hills, named for a popular rum strong enough to "kill the devil," according to local lore.

One of my earliest childhood memories was visiting the site while on vacation. Made quite an impression.
