Decided to give stippling a try!

I finally decided to pick up my soldering iron last night and give stippling a try. After 2 hours, these were my results.

I'm happy with these results and feel confident enough to do my Pro Series CORE!

Thanks. The white lettering is stock for the M&P22. At least it was for mine.

The slide on the CORE is quite different. I'm actually having it milled and Cerakoted as I type this. That's why it isn't in the photo.

Awesome Job! How do you get the nice straight lines, did you tape it off? Did you make your own special tip for your soldering iron? How did you get that aggressive texture? Good work!

Straight Lines = Steady Hands. I didn't tape it off. I will say that I'm an artist and I love to draw, so straight lines are not an issue for me. No special tip was used, just the standard tip from a simple soldering iron that I've had for 3 years. I will stress that it takes time. 2 hours (not including breaks) for the M&P22 and 3 hours (not including breaks) for the M&P CORE. You have to take breaks and the base of my thumb and index finger are slightly numb right now.

Yes sir, you are an artist indeed. I need to draw lines and measure everything I do, my attention to detail can be a bit lacking at times. If I was a carpenter I would be a framing, not a finishing one.
