Dedicated "nightstand" guns

We often hear about "nightstand" guns.

I was thinking, how many of you have a dedicated nightstand gun?

I don't have one specifically earmarked for a nightstand gun, but I always place a gun on my nightstand when I go to bed. Most often my 642. I think it's enough to get me to my mossy500...

What about everyone else? What's your "nightstand gun" setup?
 
12 gauge with M&P 9FS as back up....;)

I have an old beat up nightstand that I have a Kydex retention holster mounted to. Inside resides my 4" S&W 681 loaded with .38 spl+p.

The nightstand is between the bed and the door. I sleep on the door side my wife sleeps on the other. She has her Sig P238 in her nightstand.

Night Stand Gun

In the corner is an Ithaca model 37, police model, with #4 buck, and in the drawer is whatever handgun I am not wearing.

My bedtime gun (a G23) gets used mostly for that (or open carry while bow hunting) as I find it a little too big to carry concealed with most attire here (AZ) and my size. I pull out a smaller gun most of the time for CC.

686+ 4" and my main carry - my 637 - reside in my nightstand.
 
Full size M&P in .40 with 180gr Federal HST's. And a Streamlight mounted on the rail.

Just before drifting off to dreamland, reach over and confirm it's right "there", on the nightstand..... Then, zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz:D
 
Head-of-the-bed gun is a four-inch 10-5 loaded with Buffalo Bore standard-pressure 158 gr. LSWCHP-GC. My carry J-frame with the same load is in easy reach on the dresser next to my bed.

There's a 12 gauge side-by-side sawed to twenty inches and a supply of #4 buck in the closet, but I leave it there so far.
 
Jmo, leaving your gun open on a night stand, just asking for trouble unless you are a really light sleeper. I do have a dedicated house gun, usp/40, it wears a weapon light. It gets locked up during the day.

SIG 229 in .40 W/ Speer gold dots. For a long while I used a SW 625.
 
My nightstand gun is a Glock 19 with a weapon light mounted on the rail. If I get unexpectedly awakened, I don't want to be fumbling for a flashlight. At the foot of the bed is an 870 with a dedicated forearm weapon light as well. Nice to have choices. :)
 
The CC of the day still in its holster on the night stand. One gun out at a time. No loaded guns in the house when I am not there. I don't need to get shot by my own gun or have them stolen.

Usually my CC of the day is a 637 with CT laser. One large flashlight always sits there too.
It can also be a Charter Arms Bulldog, or a Colt Officers Model 45. These both have no laser.

I find the missus is more comfortable with my gun laying around in a holster. I have no problem with that. She is also more comfortable when I am carrying.

Away in a hotel, the flashlight and 38 are good piece of mind.
