My wife and I are staying at our cabin for a week , it is deer
Season. Weather is cold and windy ,not going out much .
The problem is my wife doesn’t realize that apple pie evaporates .
An uncut pie can be a half pie by morning .
Here is proof. Please respond if you have witnessed this.

Good friend made the Big Mistake of taking some of my special salsa to the deer camp. He let one guy try it. He then went out to his stand for rest of the day. When back at camp he discovered all the salsa was Gone, taken out of his own refrig. He put a lock on it before taking any more, LOL.

When something like that happens at our house I tell my wife that a Gremlin came in and ate it while we were asleep.
My brother always liked Moms pumpkin pies and a pie was just one piece. Larry

Same thing with our deer camp, but in our case it's how beer disappears overnight. We believe that something is sneaking into our camp after we go to bed and replacing the full cans with empties. It's the only logical explanation.

In my single days, living with roommates, I had the same problem with beer.
Can you imagine - a sealed can of beer in the fridge didn't even have to stand overnight - the can contents evaporated in just the time it took me to go the grocery store. If I went away for the weekend, whole cases evaporated.
I guess it was Global Warming that caused it, because now that we don't have Global Warming, and just have Climate Change, my beer stays in the fridge for months without evaporating.

You asked for help. Do you want us to just talk/text/e-mail your wife? I can have the Pick-up on the road in an hour to come and personally investigate, if you prefer.

On Thanksgiving Day, there were 4 cherry, 4 pumpkin, 2 blackberry and 2 blueberry pies on the desert table along with brownies and cookies and a chocolate cake. There were two pieces of blackberry left, but nobody claimed to have had any or enough!

I had my own cherry pie and had eaten 3 small pieces since Thursday, It has all vanished! That is life in the slums of New Albany, Ohio. I guess the millionaires and the one billionaire have drone services that steal from the middle class and give to the rich! Beware!

Dave357 - I have observed this phenomenon personally. I think Skinwalkers and shapeshifters used to visit our camps. Anything with alcohol and sugar disappeared without a trace.

A good friend of mine's children thought pizzas came without the corner pieces since they never made it home when dad went to pick them up.

Went to my hunting buddy's house for Thanksgiving. The day before, I picked up a Pumpkin Custard pie from the local Mennonite bakery. Can of whipped cream too. You know, to bring to dinner.

Man that pie looked good.

I broke down, and had a slice. With whipped cream. It WAS good.

Then, I looked at the pie, and figured it would be "tacky" to bring a pie with a slice gone.

So I relaxed and had another slice.

My buddies wife had more than enough desserts laid out at dinner.....:)

3 older friends of my hunting group were in West Virginia for deer bow season one year. They were trailer camping and it had been raining hard & unhuntable weather for several days. All 3 agreed they wanted a warm meal and to get out of the trailer for a stretch. They decided to go into the nearest crossroad that had a gas/pizza/fried chicken station all in one. All got their dinner and then they started looking for something sweet for dessert and decided they had a hankerin for some peach ice cream but the station only had 1/2 gallons, but they figured that wouldn't be a problem with 3 of them to eat it up before in melted. When it was all said and done the 1/2 gallon of ice cream was gone but they agreed that the 2nd & 3rd servings didn't taste near as good as the first one had. Afterwards it became a standard joke among the group when we were grocery shopping for our later hunting trips, to ask it they wanted any peach ice cream, to a uniform chorus response of "NEVER AGAIN".
