DELRIN GRIPS

Hello,

Just wondering if anyone knows if its possible to get a new S&W Delrin grip for a 4046. I've searched the S&W site and they show the soft rubber Houge as well as all the wooden ones.

I have a beat up 4046 coming and I already have the soft rubber Houge grip in hand and waiting. Its probably a more comfortable grip than the original Delrin, but I'm just curious to know if anyone knows about the original Delrins.

Searching Delrin on Google comes up empty.

Thanks a million for the Brownells 4046 schematic...I can really use it in the future...I checked the forum too late fot it to help me put the sear back in when the sear pin slipped out soon after I got the Delrin grip off. I used some common sense and parts wear observation to get it back in place.

I got the gun today and field stripped it as soon as I got home..it was FLITHY...used a LOT of Hoppes 9 and silicone spray to clean it out. I've found that brake cleaner is just a little too vapor intense!

Pictures later with the new Houge grip and a slippery but very clean S&W 4046.
