DeltaPoint or not 2 DeltaPoint

That should be right the dot goes up there fore your muzzle goes down. I have the same problem with my eyes. I have to live with it on the DeltaPoint, I have the 3.5 dot but on my RapidFire III and my UltraDot I lower the brightness and that helps a lot. You can check your astigmatism just look at a small LED on a clock or something and if you see two dots it is your problem. It maybe just the Lasik causing it as my friend had it and lights at night give him a problem. My contact corrects my astigmatish 100% but my glasses can't be made to correct all of it.

That said I love my Deltapoint. I got it when my RMR gave of after the second week.

Thanks Magload. Yeah. Pretty sure its my eyes. I have the same blurry vision with most of my red dots. Some are clearer than others. Usually depends on light intensity and size of the dots.

Also- (excuse my ignorance). But on the red dot when i use elevation (D) and go down(counterclockwise) it makes the triangle move up. When i go up (clockwise) it makes the triangle move down. Is this right?
Don't over think this, it will just drive you mad.

The sight is marked with arrows telling you which way to turn the adjustments to correct Point-of-Impact (POI). So, if you fire at the target and your group looks like this:
Adjust%20POI_zpseb90j3zf.jpg

Adjust the Deltapoint up and to the right.

Again, don't think about the gun or how the red dot moves. Only think of where you need to move the bullet holes.

This is a great thread. I'm also trying to decide between the DP or RMR. I considered waiting for the DP Pro but I don't want to be a field tester. So right now I'm leaning toward the DP for my MP 40 CORE PC. For you guys with the DP... When you have to change the battery does the sight return to zero when you remount it?

I've probably had my DP off of my Core a half dozen times for various reasons. I've never had to zero it after doing this. There are a couple of "bumps" that register the sight and plate back to the same place every time.

I am agree with Bkreutz. I have had mine off many times and just to check it I mount it in my Hyskor rest and and mark a dot on the wall where my bore sight hits then where the Deltapoint ir hitting. After taking it off and back on I check it again and it is always right on. This don't happen with some of my other dot optics or lazers but is a good way to get them back on target. I had a RMR on my CORE 40 and it died in the first two weeks. I liked it but not as much as the DeltaPoint. I was wishing I had bought the DP the whole time I had it and was glad it quit.

So I checked my Deltapoint again today during the day (it was very sunny) and wow!!! It was crisp and clear. So it seems my astigmatism is just bad during darker environments. The same sight looked great out in the sun.

So it's good and bad. Good that I can see well in bright environments but bad because I need to correct my vision in darker environments.

At least I know the DP is working as expected.

Thanks for the info on not having to resight the DP after removing it from the gun. Makes my decision much easier.
