Good afternoon all. Just wanted to throw out a note on putting the DP Pro on CORE pistols. I am a 21 year L.E. prior Combat Arms from USAF, and a shooter at heart. With age I am having issues with sharp sight picture. At SHOT this year I looked hard at the RMR, and after the show, bought the pistol and an RM07.
I have arms as long as a gorilla, and the further from your face the optic is, the larger the dot. At 20 yards the dot was 2/3 of the window, and that doesn't work for an old bullseye shooter. After looking at the Deltapoint Pro, I noted the larger window, and less mass surrounding the optic, allowing more view. I bought the DP Pro and was all jazzed to be amazed. Then I found it was not designed to fit the cut on my pistol. I Immediately voided my warranty and took a couple thousandths off the front of the optic, flattened the #2 plate that came with my CORE, and bought the correct screws to mount. The base is the same, just the overall forward and rear length were an issue. Now that I had successfully affixed the sight to my pistol, I realized in my blindness that the base of the sight is so much thicker than the RMR, that the suppressor sights are buried in the sight. ( I need an anger management seminar). In the end, I now have zero'd the sight and put a couple hundred rounds through it. (The gun, not the sight....) The 2.5 MOA dot is outstanding, and the window is clearer than the RMR. The rig still fits in my duty holster and I am displeased with the work, but happy with the initial result. I am going to look into slightly taller night sights. For the work, I would buy the RM06, 3 MOA dot and call it good. Headaches and heartaches seem to follow me.......

i have a core with the original deltapoint, which fit easily without any mods, and co-witnesses with the stock core iron sights.... it's beyond my understanding why leupold didn't take fit into account when they decided to upgrade the dp. They basically turned over a good chunk of market to the other optics suppliers....smh....

Because for $50 Leupold will sell you an accessory rear sight that attaches to the back of the Pro and allows co-witnessing with the front iron sight.

What the heck, kudos for using your problem solving skills and for getting it to work! Probably about half the people here don't care about, or want co-witnessing.

Screws for Core to fit DP Pro

G'day Chadzk25

I'm having the same problems with my Core/ Leupold DP Pro fit and have 'adapted' the DP Pro to fit as you have done.

The problem I'm now having is finding the right screws to secure the mount to the slide. Here in Australia we work on a different measurement system and it is a major pain to find anything to fit.

Do you recall the specs of the screws you used? And if possible where I might be able to purchase them?

I've been able to get some screws that fit but they have a 'fillister' head not a flat one, so they sit high out of the screw slot in the mount (Not aesthetically pleasing to the eye).

I hope you can help.
