Show me one state or area controlled by democrats where they are not anti gunl. All these so called progun democrats seem to change at the critical time( manchin and company) I am not a republican but am conservative and love guns and shooting. Why do people make excuses and sugar coat it?? Political correctness ? They are the enemy of our hobby. Please correct me and show me some areas where they are truly pro second amendment. It sure is not Colorado

New Hampshire...socially liberal, economically conservative.

Never mind it was too political, comment deleted.

Yeah me too, hard question to answer without being a bit political. Cradle to grave care is the new being responsible for yourself it seems. Too many folks more interested in voting for American Idol than voting for rights and true freedom. Sad place we are in. Glad I live in Texas!

West Virginia. West Virginia has long been a one-party state firmly controlled by the Democratic party. In the current legislative session, there are something like 30+ bills under consideration affirming the state's commitment to the right to keep & bear arms, as well as a resolution to be sent to the US government.

Examples:

HB 2832 The Firearm Protection Act

The purpose of this bill is to create the "Firearm Protection Act" that provides that any federal law effective after March 1, 2013 which attempts to ban semiautomatic firearm or to limit the size of a magazine of a firearm or other limitation on firearms in this state is unenforceable in West Virginia.

HB 2427 The West Virginia Firearms Freedom Act

The purpose of this bill is to exempt firearms, firearms accessories and ammunition from federal regulation if it is sold and maintained in the State of West Virginia.

Good to know some exist.Majority of national democrats appear so anti 2nd amendment. I may have to be less likely to generalize. News wise it seems very one sided

Iowas electoral votes seem to swing democrat lately... but the general feeling is pro gun. Lots of hunters and such.

MN. We have a group of primarily urban area liberal politicians trying. The citizen response has put a real damper on their attempt. Our rural Dem politicians realize this could be a career stopper. Our governor is a hunter and know guns. We have elections coming up soon enough that voters will remember names.

Your looking at a generation that is unfamiliar with guns, especially in urban areas. If you don't know guns, haven't been exposed and trained, haven't broken a clay pigeon or put a hole in a tin can, it's easy to grow up afraid of guns. You watch a guy with a 9mm Glock shoot a man at half a mile, lift him off his feet and throw him into a wall 5 ft up the wall, all done from the hip, one shot, it is not hard to be afraid. You watch the "man with no name" draw and shoot 5 men with 5 shots and

all 5 drop dead, don't even kick', its easy to develop some fear. There are a lot of liberals who own guns and carry and hunt and collect. Unfortunately there are a lot of people that just don't know and really don't want to know. And their number is growing. Politicians seem to be the urgent problem. They see a cause, a way to make a name for themselves.

Our politicians didn't notice that when Canada implemented their gun control laws, first, many Canadians just ignored them, and second, grass roots organizations got together and replaced some politicians. Canada is now backing off some of the controls, admitting the laws were ineffective.
