I'd like to hear some descriptions of the trigger of the SD9/40 from folks who can compare them to any/all of the following: factory j-frame Centennial or Bodyguard DA, factory k-frame DA, Walther PPS standard, Kahr, Glock 5.5, Glock minus connector with NY-1 spring, any other Glock.

I'd like to hear specifically about takeup, length of pull, weight of pull, smoothness of pull, overtravel, length of reset, vigorousness of reset, consistency from first shot to subsequent shots, etc.

Thanks in advance.

I have an SD40 and a PPS in .40. The SD trigger has a smidge more take up and more over travel, also just a little heavier. Bear in mind, my SD is near new with only 300 rounds through it. Honestly, the closest comparison for me is to the SW990L. For a self defese weapon I find it a very acceptable trigger and would change mine very little.

Reggie, thanks. How's the reset of the SD40 compare to your PPS?

The reset is longer on the SD, but not terribly. Again, they are different, but not enough to be significant. Personally I like the PPS trigger better than the SD. I also know that most triggers of this type improve with use so we'll see how the SD feels after a couple hundred more down the pipe.
