Desert Camouflage M&P complete

Worked up my Smith in a desert camouflage pattern. I posted pics a while back but have since added a little extra tint to the rifle, made it a little darker. All done with 6 bucks worth of Walmart tan and black krylon. Its been a fun project, think Im gonna sell it to fund some NFA transfer fees though.

Well, not my taste, Just kidding. I think it looks just fine. How many hours into the job? Also I'd like to know how the krylon holds up. Your treatment gives the gun a used, seen battle look. Good job.

Thanks. The finish was not intended to look "cool" or be perfect. Its a utilitarian finish for W TX varmint killing. As for the krylon finish, it took about 45 minutes, and the bulk of that time was taping off vital parts. The paint comes off without too much effort, usually in the high-wear areas like the pistol grip, rail covers, and stock. If you want a pristine looking gun, dont use this finish. However if its a functional camouflage you want, and dont care about how 'nice' your rifle looks, try it. Its what, a 425 dollar gun? Might as well have some fun

Well that explains it. The photos only had a angled view of the small ejection port but I should have spotted the absence of a forward assist and the abreviated shell deflector. Boy, those things look "real".
