Try downloading and running the free Malwarebytes program.

If that doesn't do it, try the free, online Housecall scan on the Trend Micro website.

I don't know if this will fix your problem, but it's worth a shot - try "System Restore", to a time/date before the problem occurred. good luck.

Hopefully you still have a work computer that you can download the patch on disk and start up your computer in safe mode.

If that does not work, let us know and we will look for something else. Be sure to delete temporary internet files and cookies etc, a lot of expletive deleted stuff hangs out in there.

...one of the clues that you have it is that you are unable to go onto the Trend Micro or Symantic sites, but you can to other sites. Conficker works by being on the internet I believe, so maybe you don't have it...
