What is the difference between the various diamond magnas? I have heard of high-horn and PC type, and possibly others. Can someone post pictures of the various types?

I'd also like to see a photographic log of all S&W revolver grips through the ages as it would be a good sticky for reference.

There are good pictures in the Standard Cataloge of all the stocks through history (of the outside and insides in some cases).
I don't know if scanning them and posting would be a copyright violation or not, so I'll wait for a moderator to weigh in on that before posting any.

It's true that if you want to look around on the forum, a lot of grip information can be found. But it would be far better were it well-organized in a single location, by date range and frame type, and providing even more esoteric information regarding medallions and how they were attached.

That sounds like a great project. Thanks for volunteering ;)

Lobster,

In the thread posted above these K frame Magnas were posted. These are the early 1950s "Sharp Shouldered Magnas. Both K and N frames came with these:

High Horns are always smooth and only came on Centennials (2nd down on left) and semi high horns on Bodygaurds (top on right):
