Wife had to stop at a yarn shop while we were in the city. Next door was a Dick's. With nothing to read in the truck I went in talked to a clerk in hunting area he told me that last week or the first of this week he was told to take the Mossberg 930 and one other gun off the shelf, sorry I can not remember the other one. He asked the manager the reason and was told corp said it fit Sen. Feinstein gun ban bill discription. I talked a short while with him, he is a revolver fan, and told him I would see him at the range but never in the store again. I will not support that type of business. He understood and said I was not the first to tell him that.

Just about every semi auto shotgun ever made would be an "assault weapon" thanks to Aguila mini shells.

Have been unimpressed and underwhelmed at Dick's the three times I have been in one. Do just fine with Gander Mountain, Bass Pro Shop, and Scheels, IMO.

I also told the fellow at Dicks that. I used to buy my little sister the jackets she liked every year from Dicks. The North Face and Colombia stuff and I told them theyd never see another penny from me for their actions. I dont care if this whole thing blows over and they sell M&P 15s for $300 out the door, Ill never set foot in another one.

The name says it all. Moroons anyway.
No need to spend $ there.

Vegetaman I agree with you my first stop is Sheel's thay have kept the prices is thay were on .223. I reload so a lot of my supplies come from them. The powder prices have not changed. Thay want our business after some of this blows over.

Some of the computer geeks on here should generate a 1 click link to a form letter to Dicks just like Ruger so we can all let them know how we feel with 1 click.

I only went in once when they first opened.

They must take long breaks, stood in the firearms section for about 20 minutes, not one human did I see.

I left never to return.:)

I ha e commented several times on the multiple threads about Dick's. They are horrible.....and they don't get my business.

Period.

I used to buy handgun ammo there when they had it. Like everyplace
else these days its pretty much hit or miss. One thing I have wondered
about is the fact that here in OKC they have never sold handguns. Is that
nation wide policy, or just here?

Dicks is the only mass retailer i know of in my part of New Jersey that sells guns or ammo.

I do know that the stores in Pennsylvania several years ago would not sell certain long guns to New Jersey residents even if they were legal in New Jersey.

I stopped by a week or so ago and didnt stay long. Not a good selection at all. Of all their shotguns, I saw only two 20 gauge and one .410 bore. The rest were 12. Poor selection for a sporting store if you ask me. They had a decent price in a mossberg maverick 88, but only in 12 gauge... My wife wants 20. But.. I too will not buy from them.

A few weeks back I found out they ammo in at a good price while everyone else was sold out. I called to verify they had it and told them they could keep it. Even if they put the ARs back on the self I am not going back.

they don't call it Dick's for nuttin ..... and I would never set a foot inside again

A Sad Day

It was a sad day when Galyans was bought out by Dicks....Galyans was gun friendly, had a full range of quality firearms and accessories, and the Dicks here in Missouri never maintained the level that Galyans strived for and attained.

I don't think I've ever been in one. The one here is in a mall that has "gunbuster" signs on all the entrances. Since I'm always carrying a gun, I can't go in.

I don't guess I'm missing much. I can get sweat shirts at the Dollar General.
