did I find a double? 41 and 3914 in same store

Local store, on same shelf were the following used guns:

Model 3914 -- appeared to be in great shape, no box, no papers, 1 mag -- $375
(From what I've read on here $375 is a pretty good deal on the 3914. I could only find two currently on Gunbroker.)

Model 41, 7 3/8 barrel w/ muzzlebrake and cocking indicator, in original box with magazine -- on consignment for $1,000.
(Using Gunbroker, looks like there are about three of these w/ boxes for $1,100.)

Good prices? I'm kind of feeling like I might be making package deal offer in my future???

I'm thinking $1000 for the 41 is kind of high. Plenty of stories of guys getting them for $700 - $800 or even less for a 5" barrel (like $550) and then sliding on a new barrel and having two guns.

But hey, if you think it's a deal go for it. I got my 41 with comp for free...

Thanks, Ky Bob. I did check out GA and you are right -- there are some at $650 but it appears the majority is in the $900 and up range for the longer barrel w/ boxes.

Lost Lake brings up an interesting point -- buy a 5 inch and then get another barrel and then have two guns. Hmmm.

Feeling less interested in the 41 now at the $1k price point. Probably could get it for $900 since it is a consignment but maybe that is even too high.

Any other thoughts out there?

I bought my 7 inch Model 41 with muzzle brake for $700 locally but it does have some bluing wear. I bought 5 inch with box paperwork and tools that looks unfired for $950. So I guess it depends on what you want because if you shop I think you can find a shooter grade Model 41 for around $700 to $750.

Thx fyimo. I think u and the others are right - too high a price on the 41.

Anyone with thoughts on the $375 price on the 3914?
