you did not hurt it. dont worry. haha when i started out in guns i used to go both direction. at once.

place brush in, saw violently back and forth.haha

this never really damaged the bore. scuffed a bit but after 50 or so rounds she was mirror finished again.

going in both directions is kind of a folk lure *dont do this* thing. but honestly it never really hurts it. as long as the rifling is still there. your golden. once the rifling is pitted. your done haha
