Hello All,

I don't follow S & W autos. I know they mfr'd them in .356 TSW - I believe all through the Performance Center.

However, was a revolver in this chambering ever offered???

The .356 TSW was an odd one. If I recall, meant for IPSC to meet major factor.

I believe they did do a 940 in this caliber.
I think it was a PC gun.

But, I might be wrong...I don't have my book in front of me, but I recall reading about it, I think.

I Know the PC940 was chambered in .356TSW
That could have been the only revolver ever chambered for hat round??
There's been a couple of guy around here that had one, could have even been the same gun, I had a chance to buy it but the finacial advisers weren't looking down on me at the time

From The Snubnose Files:

"Between 1991 and 1998, S&W produced the Model 940, a stainless Centennial chambered in 9mm. A group of three hundred were built in the .356 TSW caliber (good luck finding ammo for that one), and a prototype Model 942 Airweight in 9mm was built but did not go into production."

Evidently a Performance Center product with ported barrel. Listed in the Blue Book.

I have the 940 .356TSW.....
Very stiff recoil...and accuracy is marginal, but it was comparable to the .357Sig....

Believe it or not, I have found some suppliers with lots of ammo.....Starline makes the brass and standard 9mm dies will work fine for reloading....and it is not hard to reload....just look at .38 super or 9x23 IPSC loads. Mine shoot fine.
