Did S&W make a TH, TT for the 66?

If not, will a "normal" K frame target set fit in one? I have a 66 that I like, but I adore the K frame target trigger and hammers, and would love to drop one into the stainless monster :D possible?

Oh yeah

The 66-2 I gave my son had all the bells and whistles.

This 66-2 did not.

Model 66-2 With .500 TH TT

I was able to find the stainless finish look (not case colored) .500 Target Hammer and Trigger for my Model 66-2. They fit perfectly into the gun with no adjustments at all. Gun is pictured with Keith Brown grips.

The first 100 Model 66s made in 1970 to test the tooling for the new revolver were fitted with a target hammer and standard trigger. I believe a .400 inch wide or .500 inch wide target trigger made for a Model 629 will also fit a Model 66.

It will need to be a hammer/trigger for a K frame. The 629 is a N frame and will not fit. L frame parts may fit also. I've never tried that swap though.

What are the differences between TT/TH and nonTT/TH?Kinda new to s&w revolvers so excuse my ignorance :)

K, L and N frame triggers will all interchange...hammers do not.

Targets are a lot wider, .5" on the trigger vs .312 standard, IIRC. The TT is always serrated as well.

The spur on the TH is much bigger and curves down over the length of its surface. It's designed to make cocking easier when shooting SA.

My 66-2 has a TH and TT with a 6 inch barrel. It's a lot of fun and very accurate!

K-frame parts are interchangeable not model specific

Please pardon the follow up dumb question, but the Model 13's of the late seventies are K frames too right? I never really did realize why the 10, 12, & 13 were in a different serial group.... (well, I know the 12 had a thinner frame). Anyway, these K-frame internals are ok for them also?

Rich - from left to right (thumb pad -"spur" width)

standard .265"
semi target .375"
target .500"

Don't have a trigger pic handy but you get the idea

Thanks for the pic and the clarification
