Did Sgt. at Arms Vickers use a S&W 5906?

Imagine that, a good guy with a gun stops a bad guy with a gun.

Seriously fortunate that situation got resolved quickly with the bad guy down for the count. Very sad that he took out an honor guard at the Ottawa war memorial before having his ticket punched.

This good guy took out a bad guy at a House of Commons, where political figure meet. If it happened on the street and there were only common people there, would someone have been around to help them.

Glad they don't have to house and feed the low life. Good shooting sergeant-at-arms Kevin Vickers another Jihadists we don't have to worry about.

Watch, everyone will be scouring their local g&k shows for the 5906. I had a 3906 back in the 90's and I sold it. Sigh....

I have a 3904, and a 5906, and a 6906, and a bunch of others. I'd add a 5926 to the collection if I ever found one. I must say I'd like to have one of those Melonite 5946 RCMP guns if they were ever turned in and ended up on the civilian market.

I heard a reporter or a politico say why would anyone carry a loaded weapon just because someone might attack.
Those types are beyond any comprehension. A death wish I guess.
I wonder if he now carries that pistol?
Seems as though there's a war in progress.
When ElleMae said to leave the 380 at home and carry a bigger gun, my M59 was back in the rotation. She ain't stupid.

I strongly suspect the gun he used was probably a 40cal. Most of our police and other officers who carry pistols have switched over to some form of 40 cal as up here most criminals use a 9mm. My local Police carry Glocks and our local Provincial Police are carrying mostly colts at this time. Both have many members who shoot at my club.

Do we know yet how many shots it took to bring this low life down and the placement?
The video\audio clip I saw indicates one shot from the jihadist followed by at least a dozen pistol rounds. I also saw the Sgt. return up the hallway with his weapon acting very cool and controlled. Chalk one up for the good guys.

I heard that audio and it sounded like several guys shooting. If he was the only defender, he sure put a ton of lead into the air in a short time. Kudos, sir.

Texas Star, bear in mind, I'm NOT trying to break your horn.
I may have come across differently than i had intended.
I always found DAO autos to be as useless as teats on a mule.
Then, I tried a 5946 and a 4586.
The 5946 is now mine, and the 4586 would have been, except the store has a 4566 that is in better shape, with box/docs/spare mag, for the same price.

It almost pains me to say it, but in many ways the DAO 3rd gen Smith autos have better triggers than DA revolvers.

So, good guy with gun stops bad guy with gun. Simple, proven fact.
Yet, to the miserable sacks of socialist monkey **** in the media 1+1 does not equal 2.
To the media, 1+1=fish.

"Some men, you just can't reach."

As to the Sergeant at arms, he did what had to be done. He acted heroically.

"Usher of the Black Rod"????????
I'm sorry, but that sounds like a name for a "blue" film.

So, the Sergeant at Arms only carries a sword on duty.
Yet, he knew that a ceremonial pig-sticker was not going to save the day. Think, bringing a knife to a gun fight.

The media would have us believe that Satan is good and God is bad, just as they seem to think that criminals are victims and guns are evil.

How did the world get so twisted and perverted?

Yes, Kudos to Sgt. Vickers. Hopefully those above him that evidently dictated his gun would stay under lock and key will now do the smart and right thing - allow him to carry open or concealed everywhere he goes.

Not only is he a great asset to the Parliament he bravely serves )while the Prime Minister hid in a closet); he will also most likely be a marked man by the evil Satanic scum of which he killed one of their disciples.

My 5906 is home tonight loaded with 15 rounds of Hornady. The wife likes that one nearby while I'm traveling on business. My 4014 is on the seat beside me in a TT Gunleather IWB holster. (Long drive and it's nice to get it off the hip in that regard!)

As a native born West Virginian and lover of 3rd gens, one of my grail guns is the WVSP Melonite Smith.

I did break down and finally buy my first and only polymer pistol - a NIB Browning Pro-40. (Made by FN for Browning and essentially an FNP-40)

My son had an FNP-9 and I really liked it. Although it's not a 3rd Gen.

The lowlife was shot thru the heart by Sgt Vickers, From all the news accounts up here he emptied his mag at or into this perp. Cpl Cirillo the sec young mans name was brought back to Hamilton yesterday down our highway of Heroes. Thousands of our people lined the route all the way for him. His funeral service is set for later this coming week.
