Kinda like Hollywood, no new movies just bad remakes??

John E. seems new here, and I'm not sure if he's a troll, or just someone who liked some old threads, with a wry sense of humor.

We do need more posts. It's been rather slow lately.

He resurrected some old threads. Big deal. That doesn't make him a troll.

Skip threads that you don't like, including any that you feel that is bad because they are not current enough for your tastes.

When I first came here I tried to read ALL of the old threads both here and the S&W Smithing section. And a lot of the Revolver sections.

A lot of times it was hard not to reopen a thread with a comment, but my understanding is that it's considered bad forum manners, so I resisted.

Actually - Some, if not most, of the old threads are still relevant - Although I believe it would be better to start a new thread on an old topic.
But that's just me (?)...........

I just started reading a bunch of threads and then noticed they where a year old, or more.

Nothing more, nothing less. Just a comment.

Some of those old threads are really good. I especially enjoyed the one that Osprey did on shooting +P loads in a Model 12. I don't think that he's a troll, just someone who liked the subject of those threads. Just skip over them if you don't want to read them.

I was reading this hoping to see this person resurrecting old threads would chime in. If he doenst defend himself then I believe troll. I myself just love reading any and all threads being new here, I did not know it was offensive to reopen old threads, but I can understand needing to move onward to newer things. Just my .02 pennys worth.

I agree a lot of the old threads hold value. What is annoying is when someone bumps up an old thread with a comment like 'great thread' or something equally non-contributory.

I'd rather see old threads automatically locked. If you want to add to an old one, put the link in your new thread and then post whatever you've got to say.

Or maybe he doesn't see fit to respond to the charge of being a troll. If that is the case he's not.
