Did someone dig up a time capsule??

I think that's a stretch...maybe he went fishing for the weekend and doesn't have computer access.

It is kinda weird for one guy to bump up a bunch of old threads...I'll give ya that! :)

Doesn't everyone have computer access everywhere they go now? Except of course in some subway systems.;)

I sent a e mail to my Sister and she received it while hiking up on Mt Rushmore!

Most of the threads he resurected have been of interest to me and most of them have generated several additional replies. It has been rather dull around here lately so I don't mind. Have you noticed how many members in the older threads are no longer posting?

I dont see a thing wrong with dragging up a old thread especialy you have something to add to it. The other day I posted about poligamist leader warren jeffs getting life plus 20 years. About 3 years ago I had started a thread on poligamists and the nation wide manhunt for jeffs. That got to be a huge discussion. Now was the end result of it. I couldnt even find that thread it has been so long ago so posted another thread about jeffs final outcome. I dont know why there should be any problem. I just read the thread header and if interested click on the ones I like. I think I probley click on to maybe one out of four threads that might interest me to see if I want to read any farther. That aint hard!

Well, I'm kind relieved to see that I'm not resurecting old threads! But now if you can get in trouble for stupid, pointless threads, then I'm yer man!!
Sometimes I even go back and read the same thread because my memory is not wonderful, only to find even more info than I did the first time.
By the way, Great Thread this is.
Yes, I think I've got a bulge in my barrel.
Peace,

I'm fine with old threads popping back up if the poster has something constructive to add, not just "Me too" or "is this still for sale?".

If it is such bad form and a waste of bandwidth to maintain and bring back old threads, why don't we have software that adds an expiration date if a thread is dormant for a period of time and automatically locks it.

The only topic hotter than this one is the uproar over the preposed remake of "Dirty Dancing." Oh the humanity!

Yeah, those old threads can really be annoying. But I especially liked the one about allowing women to vote. It got some great replies.:D

I only realized that old threads were getting bumped up when a couple of guys "liked" a post that I made in a topic thread about Ted Nugent...and the post was two years old and made before the "like" system was in place. :)

A Cry for Help!

I've figured it out! John Ellertson (the supreme resurrector of old threads) must have fallen through a time warp, and is stuck in 2009 (have you noticed that most, if not all, these old threads he is bringing back to life are from 2009?). He is bringing these old threads to life in an attempt to have us notice and develop a time travel system to rescue him from his fate. I'm sure he misses the present. Call for H.G. Wells!

No... a troll is dragging a lure behind a boat

Me too. Some are entertaining.

Well... you see where THAT got us, don't ya?

Any difficulty John is having with getting out of 2009 will be temporary. You wait and see. He'll be all over these 2011 threads before the end of 2013. John is a connoisseur of vintage threads. He could be posting in this very thread once it has aged properly.
