Did they ever make this.....?

Going through some of my old pics and saw this "line art" drawing that S&W sent out to dealers/distributors. I have a whole CD of these types of pics so dealers/distributors could use them in advertisements, etc.
This one caught my eye, it appears to be a 8 3/8" (or longer) M627, 8 shot model (bottom drawing), I'm not aware that they ever made any, does anybody have any information about such a model/variation....????

According to my version of SCSW the 627 was never offered in 8 3/8" barrel. 6 1/2" is the longest barrel they ever had available.

My 4th Edition SCSW agrees with that, just in case Tom's version is older.......
