My first Shield 9 I purchased from a LGS right after they were released. My second one I purchased a week later at a Gun Show. After a few weeks I sold one of them since I didn't think I really needed two. A couple of months later I sold the other one, then bought an XDS the next day. Shortly thereafter I sold my 45C, then turned around and bought another Shield 9. After 355 rounds with the XDS I wasn't real enthused with it. A few days ago I traded it for a BNIB Shield 9 plus $100. Now I've got two Shields again, but my son has laid claim to one of them.

Yep, sold my Kahr P9 to get a 9Shield, Don't regret it at all, the Shield is slightly smaller & shoots a lot nicer.

I do periodically trade/sell if I'm buying within the same brand (sold XD9SC to get my XDM9c, etc), but I simply bought the Shield without trading/selling anything else.

Sold my Judge for the Shield. It was a tough call, but I had bought my Judge when I lived in Arizona, and Fox rabies was rampant. I hiked alot, and enjoyed carrying snake shot w/buckshot or 45LC.

I guess the psychological rational I used on myself when buying my second Shield was "I can sell my Glock 19 plus accessories and make more than enough to pay for the Shield". I bought the Shield...and still have my Glock. Harder tp part with then I thought!

Nope. Only ever sold 2 guns...one because I was moving to a state where it wouldn't have been legal, and one because I realized that all the smith work I needed to have done to it to get it where I wanted would have cost more than just trading it in on the M&P that was close to what I was trying to make it into (traded in an XD .45 service for an M&P 45c).

Bought the 9mm outright over a month ago and traded my Beretta Nano plus some change for the 40 Shield last Saturday.

Traded my G23 RTF2 for my 40 Shield. Currency exchanged 0.00. EDC is a G29 and have my Shield as a backup in my pocket.

Traded my Ruger LCP in plus some cash, couldn't be happier :D

Sold my barely used S&W Bodyguard for my 9mm Shield. I'm happy as I find the 9mm Shield is a much better round and package for my needs, off duty carry and on duty back up.

Traded in a cz83 cz82 and P64 to get my shield .40 on 07082012. I will miss the others somewhat, but this is my first .40 and found out I have been missing quite a bit of fun over a 9mm by not getting some type of forty before. Really a fun pistol. Did a YT first range shots going up still this week. Did 23 and 25 feet dirty bird 12x18 and 12x12 targets. Very impressive.

Sold my ISSC m22 .22lr to help fund my Shield. Liked the plinker, but wanted a personal protection gun I can CC if I want to.

Walked into my favorite LGS today to inquire about the .40 Shield. They said they hadn't been able to get any Shields at all so far, but that their S&W distributor has just called them and was sending them two .40 Shields. I immediately gave them a down payment on one.

I also asked what they could do on a trade-in on my Kahr PM9 (purchased elsewhere). They have heard me say several times in the past that it just won't fire any kind of hollowpoint reliably. FMJ's are no problem, but it can't be trusted as EDC. If they can do anything that's reasonable, I'll trade it in. if they can't, I'll sell it elsewhere. They're a small family business, so I'll understand if they can't give me a great trade-in. The standalone price in the Shield was fine.

i'm another who has never been able to sell any of my firearms in the past. But all the others , including my six SIGs, have been utterly reliable. I would keep the PM9 if it were reliable, but I just don't trust it for EDC.
