Dillion presses

...
Another potential drawback is: the press would be safer to use of the shell plate automatically rotated as the lever or arm was returning to the upright position, ...

If you want that feature you can upgrade to the XL650.:D

I as well love my 550b. The only thing I guard against is watching "Judge Judy" and reloading at the same time. Can anyone say "squib"!

..Or a lobster.

Yeah, the Lee Lobster.

A recent study was done and the following was reported.

[FONT=&quot]Post Purchase Rationalization or Choice supportive bias, another form of Cognitive dissonance.

By constantly glorifying how good the product is, they try to justify and how much they spent, even if it is a good product.:D

Rule3,

Like how accurate a powder measure is?

It's a tool -- now get back to work. The Reloading Hour will now resume.

It boarders on group narcissism. There is a Dillon Forum with lots of camaraderie and high fives going on.

I just bought a Les Baer Custom 25th Aniversery (it is the greatest of all 1911's!) to go with my Rolex Yacht-Master II.(the greatest of watches)

Think I shall go to the Yacht Club, board the Hatteras(it's white) and gaze upon them now.

Oh now.

C'mon, it's one "Dillon Appreciation" thread.

All of the "What press should I buy" or "what dies should I buy" or "What T-Shirt should I buy" threads that mention Dillon always have at least as many, if not more, comments about Lee.

It's Rock Chucker Guy I wonder about. Dem Green boys is a quiet bunch, for sure.:)

Some people wont be satisfied with anything.

It absolutely astounds me as to how great Dillon's customer service is, in an era when customer service is a dying art.

I load .380 auto, 9mm, .38 Special, .357 Magnum, .44 Special, .44 Magnum, and .45 ACP handgun on a Square Deal B.

I load .223, .30 Carbine, .308 Winchester, and .30-06 Springfield on a RL 550B. Soon I will be loading .30-30 Winchester, 7.62x39, and .300 Blackout on the 550 B as well.

The Square deal has loaded well over 100,000 rounds of ammo (Prob closer to 200,000) and the 550 50,000 rounds easy.

Dillon, without hesitation, has rebuilt my Square Deal twice. I only paid to ship it to them, and they paid return shipping. I wear that press out making ammo, and they just keep rebuilding it for free.

Recently, I was changing calibers on the Square Deal, and my young daughter came into the room and pulled the handle. The detent ball for the shell plate went flying - never to be seen again. I called Dillon and explained it was our fault - expecting to pay for the part. Nope - it was sent out for free and arrived less than 48 hours later.

I will absolutely be loyal to a company who takes care of me that well. Then I will tell others and encourage them to buy from that company.

Dillon Owners

:D Dillon Owners are elitist. :D We want a press that works when we want to reload. We don't want another maintenance project.   ;)

I drive a Chevy Colorado, wear a Seiko, have a Rock Chucker and $15 Lee press sitting on the shelf. My RC gets used for rifle ammo, and the Lee is used only for 45-70 because the only dies available when I got my Quigley was Lee 45-70.

Midway had a Lee press and Lee Reloading Manual for $20. Ever one buys a bargain that they regret forever  .

Yep, both of them.;)

I wouldn't start anything with the Forster crowd--their straight shooters. They may be slow to prime, and float around a little, but no spent primers escape them...and that's no yoke.

Everyone knows real men wear black--and love to do the shuffle.
