I reload with a RCBS and just bought a S&W .45. I want to reload this cal. but the only die set I can find are Dillons. Are they usable in a RCBS press? I was told that Dillons were not interchangable like the Lee's, Hornaday etc.
Thanks in advance.

The only Dillon dies that are not compatible with other press' are the Square Deal B dies. They are special to fit on a small dimensioned machine.
As already stated, 7/8" thread dies should work in you press.
Have you tried contacting RCBS direct for your dies?

I think I'm correct on this - but call Dillon to confirm..... Dillon dies do not have a 'belling' feature. On a dillon press the belling of the case mouth is done by the powder funnel.

Lyman makes a powder die that comes with six expanders, screw the powder measure into the die, or not. one body six expanders. have one , works.

dillon dies have a wide mouth or leadin thats almost a must with a dillon press. they will work fine with other presses. don

RCBS makes .45 S&W dies, their 2009 catalog lists a 3 die carbide roll crimp set for $66.95.
It is is their "cowboy" group, part no. 19151.

If you want something cheaper Lee makes them too.
