I bought my first Dillon in 1982;it was a RL300.Still got it and,Like Peter at Dillon told me:''this thing ought to be in a museum''.But I still load all my .38Spl,.357Mag and 9mm on it and it never failed to me.
In Feb 2015,I bought a Square Deal B for loading all my large primer cartridges.Always had problems with the priming assembly.The guys at Dillon sent me some parts to fix it but still the problem kept showing up again and again.3 weeks ago,I phoned and talked to Peter at the technical dept.He suggested I try something and last week,when I reported back to him,telling that it wasn't fixed,he sent me a whole priming assembly.of course free of charge.
With service like that,guess what brand of press I recommend to guys who want to get into reloading!

Glad some guys get that kind of service from Dillon... I bought their crimp remover tool And it was missing a few parts. Hearing of their stellar customer service, I called them and they offered to sell the parts to me. No thanks, as I already paid once... I put it on eBay and dumped it.

As I've said a few times, I do a lot of reading. Will do tons of research on anything I'm interested in. This includes Dillon products, as well as use and service. Overall, Dillon still seems to get high marks, almost all the time. If someone covers many internet forums, they'll see this. I have quite a few Dillon products myself, including the 650 progressive & the 600 swaging tool. No complaints. I've never needed service or a phone call to Dillon.

I will give them a big thumbs up, I've had 2 problems in the past. Both times I've had excellent service. The last time, I had cast piece brake on the ram arm. I called and they sent me a new piece to install. I had to take the press completely apart to install it. After installing it, I was not happy with the way it felt. I called and asked about sending it back for an overhaul at my expense. They gave me the price and info for sending it back. I shipped it and within 10 days had a box on the porch. When I opened the box, I thought they had sent me a new press. The one I got back was like new. I looked at the bill to see what they were going to bill me, they were to have called me with a final price before doing the work. On the bill there was a big "0". I'll always reload with a BLUE press.

I bought a RL550 back in the 80's and I've loaded over 100K rounds of various calibers on it. I have worn out several primer seating springs, a couple of the springs that sit under the tension ball bearing and several powder measure parts. I also had the cast part that the handle attaches to fail and I've had to take apart the entire press because of shafts galling. The early 550's didn't have lubrication holes like the new ones and the lube I used wouldn't migrate far enough in to prevent the galling. I have never had anything but stellar service from Dillon and I've never had to pay for one part. The Blue Machine and their service team get my highest recommendations.

I have two XL650s, while they are great unit, I do use them often, one for large primer cases, and one for small primer cases.I have had some small items break from time to time, and since I live about an hour from Dillon in Scottsdale, I go there and exchange out the worn out/broken pieces. I only used their online/ phone customer service once, and was very disappointed with the tech on the phone. I will never use that again, and will continue to go to Dillion in person, I realize that is impossible for some of you guys, I guess I'm just lucky they are close by.

They'll help you even before you're a customer. The local reloading supply store was replacing their demo presses, some of which had been on display for over 10 years. I was interested in the Square Deal B, which was being sold as-is, make an offer - no box, parts or accessories that weren't on the press as displayed. I went home and called Dillon to ask if there was a way for me to figure out what might be missing, so I could then figure out what I'd have to buy to make it functional, so I could then figure out how much to offer for it.

They said if I went back to the store and called 'em from there, they'd walk me through the machine from top to bottom, make a list of what I told 'em I didn't see that should be there, and give me a price for the necessary parts on the phone. Which I did. Ended up with a fully functional press for $250, including the parts I had to order.

That became my dedicated 9mm machine. I liked it so much that when I switched to revolvers for IDPA I got another one and set it up for 38 Special. Pretty hard not to go back for more of their product when you get that kind if help to start with.
