Yup, Lou The Welder brought that to my attention earlier in the game. I even looked at my phone first to make sure the date was right. Got the date & year, still hung up on December I reckon....:confused: DOH!!

''F U S E D'' lmagine THAT:rolleyes:

I had a couple of above average days at the range lately so I thought it a good chance to drag this thread back up and show off a little. :D

My best group ever.

And a couple of other keepers.

The Extreme Hunter is just too much fun!

Y'all add some of yours. I know y'all shoot em too, not just look at them.

Mark: Great shooting, great guns and I am always thinking to make a few dirty pics for you as well next time.

I am guilty as charged as I have a bottle of George T Stagg and a bottle of Thomas Handy Sazerac barrel strength. No plans of opening them. Matter of fact I want to take them w me in my harp carrying case on the way up.

I changed things up today and took my 28-2 and 686-6 to the range today. The HP is such a joy to shoot and gentle as a *****cat shooting 38s. The 686 performed well too and was shooting nice fist sized groups da at 12 yards. What a great Monday!

Double action! Allright!!
Careful now shooting DA. It'll cause you to send lotsa lead downrange.

I'm one of those who avoids driving if it's likely my car will get dirty------and virtually never fired any of the guns in my collection----and fastidiously clean my few shooters within mere moments of getting them dirty-------and REALLY fastidiously clean every collectible that came to live here. That's known as "Ralph's Bath"----------but all that dic-doc is not what this is about.

This is about making your life a whole lot easier when you do clean your guns-----especially when you're obliged to get the lead out. There's a post up above someone spending two hours getting the lead out------with a Lewis Lead Remover. I guess the fact he spent two hours says all that needs to be said about that.

The first step in Ralph's Bath is getting the lead out---a little or a lot----or not hardly any, because what you're about to learn gets bores SQUEAKY CLEAN------in a matter of minutes---and costs next to nothing.

There's a Notable Thread Index for each section of this forum. The one you want is for the early hand ejector section---1896 to 1961. Go there, and find the "lead in barrel" post. Do what you're told to do there, and live happily ever after!! (You can leave the outside of your guns all funky if you want to-------the bores will be IMMACULATE!!)

I am sure you must have A LOT of guns and the new ones are just for your collection. When I get a new one I am chomping at the bit to take it to the range and have some fun with it. Last Saturday I took a good friend to the range because he wanted to shoot his 9 Mil that he bought over 20 years ago for the first time.

He brought 30 hollow point rounds with him that he has had since he purchased the thing. He is a Navy Chaplain and tried to purchase more ammo on base before he left (for $15 for a box of 50...). Well, we live in California he and does not have a Firearms Saftey Card (FSC), which the subjects of the People's Republic of California need to have to make a purchase and renew every five years. Basically he was not in the DOJ's data base so he needs to pay to take and pass a test before he can purchase any ammo; or a firearm.

I have another friend I work with who has been buying firearms for a couple years now and still has not shot any of them. I am a member of my local range and have offered multiple times to take him shooting. The offer is still open, but I am still scratching my head about this one. We get along great and have things that keep us busy, but if I were in his shoes I would be wanting to go pull some triggers.

Thanks SWFan I do. Honestly, I'm more of a collector as opposed to a shooter so that's why it doesn't bother me if I don't have the time to shoot some of them. However, be careful with the Snake guns, they reproduce! lol Take care.

Fun day at the range today. It was a 44 spl day with my 3" 629-6 and my latest purchase, the 4" 624. The 624 has quickly turned into a favorite shooter and even though I don't shoot as well with iron sights, this gun makes me look good. I thought it a good time to add one to the 'dirty gun' files.
