Dirty Harry Question

When sitting on the couch watching Dirty Harry movies, rolling cover with a Smith, I choose randomly. Sometimes I roll with a Colt. A couple nights ago I rolled cover with a 2.5” 19 and Colt Kodiak during Dead Pool.

It is best to watch the Dirty Harry movies in the order in which they were made. Doing so provides continuity for weapons, cars, and actors. As for helping Harry while watching, that's between you and your wife, I'm not stepping into that argument.

Makes sense lol

Post high school I worked in a gun store. We had a customer that was doing what you propose and actually shot his TV with a live round. But it was a Walther PPKs, and it was a James Bond movie. Why he confessed such stupidity is beyond me. Don't be that guy.

Yes, watch them all in order.

I hear that ,, my dad rip was on the porch with some relatives and pulled the trigger on a 25cal Titan not realizing there was a rd in the chamber ,,luckily no one was hurt , i learned my lesson then.

Couple sweet guns there ,,after watching magnum force that Colt python is growing on me ..Haven't even received the 29 i ordered and thinking about another gun ,,,i'm bad

Just finished watching all the Dirty Harry movies, in order. Great collection! I recommend watching them in order.

For Sure ,, I don't remember a whole lot about those movies but i remember the offbeat music score in DH was cool ,, that occasional drum beat

While I was fairly new "on the job" in the 1970s, another officer on my department blew up his TV that way doing fast draw practice.:D:D We all got a chuckle out of that too.

Same era. In those days there were no flat screens. A bullet in the CRT makes a hell of a mess usually involving smoke and broken glass everywhere.

Although I enjoy all of the Dirty Harry movies, I think my favorite has to be "Magnum Force". The introduction with Harry holding his .44 Magnum for about 2 minutes and then cocking it and pointing it at the audience is cool! And then there's all the 4" Colt Pythons that the vigilante cops are shooting. Can't get much better than a S&W Model 29-2 and Colt Pythons!

For anyone who likes the m29 that intro in magnum force is awesome ..and like you said plus the Pythons ,,,I wonder how much the Python sales went up after Magnum Force .
Watched a y@utube video yesterday a guy was reviewing a new
model 29 and he loved it but acted like the trigger on a Colt handgun was on a whole different level ...I don't know the only Colts i own is a 1911 and AR15

My wife got it for me about five years back. I think she got it on eBay...I'll have to ask her.

I did ask her...$19.95 on eBay! I can't believe the current prices! $70 bucks and more!

On ebay i saw some Callahan Id cards for about 10 bucks ,
when i google the badge i saw 65 bucks ,,wanted to just get something cheap on am@zon but they had nothing

As much as I love the 29s used in the Dirty Harry movies what I REALLY love is the sound of the blanks used in Harry's gun. There were a couple of John Wayne movies where the blanks sounded the same (Cahill, US Marshal) but the Dirty Harry series was "it" for me.

The big question is why did Harry walk all that way to the guy on the ground with the shotgun within reach with an empty cylinder?

He fired 5, not 6!

Of course, did he really know that or not.

The last home video re-issue added a 6th shot sound effect to satisfy the stupid people. Even Milius gave up trying to explain that lowering the cocked hammer and then cocking again will bring up the empty chamber.
