Ok Guys I'm watching Dirty Harry . Anybody else? Cool first time I watched at the theatre , even better sitting on my couch watching free , ahhmm well not really free because my S&Ws did cost a little and actually I'm holding a 629 not a 29 ,I guess I've gotten lazy lol

Can watch it whenever I feel like it. I got the DVD.:D

Rudi , when Andy Robinson said that line , the film crew all cracked up laughing . They had to stop filming for a few minutes . Robinson hated guns , they had to send him off to a gun clinic for 3 wks to get comfortable to do his part . Just thought it was interesting little known facts . Regards, Paul

"When a naked man is chasing a woman through an alley with a butcher knife and a hard-on, I figure he isn't out collecting for the Red Cross."

I love the scene where Harry is taping an open switch blade to his leg, and his boss says, "It's disgusting that a police officer should know how to use a weapon like that."

Harry's Lieutenant comes across as a department politician who has never really been in the trenches with the scum. Meanwhile that knife saves Harry's life when Scorpio gets the drop on him.

I also love the way San Francisco itself is like an unlisted cast member.

Absolutely classic film. You're making me want to watch it again tonight.

I recently got a 4 disc set of the first 4 Dirty Harry Movies. Best by far is the original.

What I appreciate is how as bad *** as Harry is, they still show him as fallible when he gets roughed up by Scorpio and even the neighborhood crew who think he is a peeping Tom. As the series continued they made him more superhuman and less believable.

I just watched Sudden Impact the other night as I have it on VHS. Now I feel old. But I still like that movie.

There is a follow up to Dirty Harry.....

It's called 'Magnum Force'. 'Dirty Harry' the original and best but it seems 'Magnum Force' was a pretty good one to watch. There are some other ones too, of varying quality.

PS: I looked 'em up. They are:

The Enforcer

Sudden Impact

The Dead Pool

I know that 'Sudden Impact' has the 'Go ahead, make my day." catchphrase.

'The Enforcer' has Tyne Daly in a good performance.
