Do any of you "Wax" your blued guns?

I don't get it. You can put this Renaissance wax on all parts of your gun exterior, from metal to wood, and still fire it? If it is the rust prevention cure-all, how come it's not talked about more? Shouldn't this be the primary means of defense over an oil finish or silicone rag?

I'd like to know more about waxing your guns.

Do you apply the wax inside the barrel and cylinders or just on the exterior of the gun?

I have been using a silicon cloth to rub down my revolvers after applying the gun oil. If you apply wax, would you still apply gun oil and silicon? If so, in what order?
